3D magnetotelluric modeling, inversion and migration


TechnoImaging's EMVision®1 provides 3D modeling, 3D inversion and 3D migration services for magnetotelluric (MT) and audio-magnetotelluric (AMT) surveys, including the following survey types:


  • Marine MT

  • Land MT

  • Airborne MT and ZTEM

MT


EMVision® can be used to interpret MT and AMT data from survey of any scale; from prospect to regional to continental scales. TechnoImaging can also provide MT data conditioning services, including static shift correction.

TechnoImaging has developed MT case studies to demonstrate how it is practical to rigorously invert entire MT surveys for 3D conductivity models with millions of cells within a day.

EMVision® incorporates TechnoImaging's focusing regularized inversion that enables the recovery of models with sharp conductivity contrasts, rather than models with smooth conductivity distributions. Coupled with fast run-times, this enables multiple inversion scenarios to be explored so as to minimize 3D model uncertainty.

TechnoImaging's EMVision® supports EDI data formats, and industry standard earth model formats used by Petrel2, GoCad/SKUA3 and Oasis montaj4.

EMVision® also enables Internet-hosted 3D AEM modeling and inversion on TechnoImaging's high performance computing resources.

TechnoImaging is able to provide short courses and training on 3D MT modeling, inversion and migration.
